Lego Ball Joint
thingiverse
My kid misplaced a one-of-a-kind Lego piece from an extensive kit. This distinctive component is a primary pivot piece (ball and socket) for one of the legs. I deconstructed it and tweaked the design to be more robust as a 3D printed part compared to injection molded. The end result was impressive, it feels remarkably sturdy, and the fit is spot on. The surface finish turned out exceptionally well too.
