A mole unlike any other, the Safety Mole is a diminutive, agile creature that stands on two feet. Its soft, reddish-brown fur glistens with a light colored belly and sharp claws that shine like polished steel. White whiskers frame its face, while a peach colored nose twitches with every movement. Deep beneath the earth's surface, intricate networks of tunnels are built to house colonies of moles known as "labours." The majority of these labours consist of Safety Moles, who work tirelessly to excavate new tunnels and rooms as their colony grows in population. Each Safety Mole dons a bright red, plastic safety hat with a flashlight attachment that helps it navigate the dark when its natural eyesight is not enough. Its sharp claws are used for digging, but a sturdy shovel is carried to transport loose dirt away from the colony when tunnels become cluttered. If caught outside the colony, a Safety Mole will brandish its shovel as a potent weapon to defend itself against any threat.
