A golem is an enormous living being with a mechanical appearance that belies its incredible vitality. Its massive body is crafted from thick slate-blue plate metal, highlighted by gleaming golden shoulder and chest armor. A wolf-like helmet adorns its head, fashioned from the same robust material as its torso. Down its back, large rectangular protrusions form a distinctive spine that cradles an intricate organic computer system. A golem requires infrequent intake of raw metal and oil to sustain itself, but can survive for extended periods without additional sustenance. Its heart is a sophisticated near-Carnot engine, renowned for its exceptional efficiency. With a full fuel tank, a golem can remain battle-ready for centuries before needing further nourishment. Golems were ingenious tinkerers by trade, but eagerly assume their role as formidable fighters whenever duty calls.
