Here's an insert I made for the Alien deckbuilder with the cumbersome name "Legendary Encounters: An Alien Deck Building Game". Print two of these and then maybe glue them together. I didn't glue them together and the insert worked out fine. It fits everything in the base game very comfortably, and it will fit all 1000 cards (sleeved) and both neoprene mats from the base game + first expansion if you combine the characters into the movies they are from.
