Legend of Zelda Keys

Every year, I contribute video game themed props to the Extra Life charity event through donations. In 2017, I designed and created Legend of Zelda keychains that turned out to be truly unique. To ensure accuracy, I spent a lot of time researching and designing the files using high-quality images from the game. These detailed designs were then sent to a 3D printing service where they were printed into solid objects. After printing, I carefully glued them together, smoothed out any rough edges, and cast them in metal to give them a more authentic look. The boss keys were sand-cast in brass, while the smaller keys were cast in pewter and given a patina finish to achieve a sandy gold or tarnished black/grey color. To complete the keychain, I attached it to a sturdy 4-inch steel ring that can be easily opened and closed with a small keychain I CNC milled myself. This custom keychain features the phrase "Extra Life 2018" along with several Zelda heart containers.
