After making several modifications to my Vertex K8400 (added a second power supply for heatbead, added mainboard cover, etc.), I realized that the gap between the parts added to the bottom of the printer and the desk top is too small. So, I decided to raise the printer by extending its legs. I replaced the original corner pieces with Things published here. Here is the Bill of Materials: - 16 M5x16mm screws to attach parts to printer's side panels - 4 M5x20mm screws to attach Part 2 to the bottom panel - 4 M3x10mm screws to tie together parts 1 and 2 (optional) - 20 M5 self-locking nuts (re-use existing) - 4 M5 nuts (re-use existing) - 4 M5 washers (optional) All M5 screws should have socket cup heads. Cut M5 thread in Part 1. If you intend to use M3 screws, cut M3 thread in Part 2. After removing the original corners, attach Parts 2 to the bottom of the printer with M5x20mm screws and self-locking nuts. Make sure the screw heads are below Part 2 and the nuts are above the printer's bottom panel. Screw-in the original legs with M5 nut and washer on them into Parts 1. The threaded end of the leg should not stick out of the flat surface of Part 1. Attach Parts 1 to the printer's side panels and to Parts 2 with M5x16mm screws and self-locking nuts. Optionally tie Parts 1 and 2 with M3x10mm screws from underneath. Finally, adjust the height of the legs and tighten M5 nuts. Part 2 is almost identical to the Medium Corner of the printer. If you have four spare Medium Corners, you can use them instead of printing Part 2. However, in this case, you won't be able to tie parts 1 and 2 with M3x10mm screws as the Medium Corner does not have a hole for this screw.
