My wife had been looking for a shelf to fit our laundry room perfectly, and after some research, we found that an IKEA desk top was the ideal size. Yet, none of the legs available from IKEA matched the size we required, so I took matters into my own hands and designed custom brackets to attach 1.25-inch dowels to the table along with matching feet to safeguard our floor. The newly created brackets align seamlessly with the pre-drilled holes in IKEA desktops and boast an astonishing level of sturdiness.
