The Monoblade suspension fork for bicycles features a single pivot system with an anti-dive mechanism that prevents the fork from diving under heavy braking unlike traditional telescopic forks. In this design, if the resultant force of all forces on the bicycle (rider's weight, inertia, wheel ground force, and wheel brake force) passes through a single point - the center of the rotating pivot axle - there will be no momentum left to compress the fork blade. However, real-world scenarios may result in some dive depending on rider weight and center of gravity. The key to designing this type of fork is finding the right geometry for the pivot axle and fork offset. The travel range of the fork is 100/135 mm, based on shock attachment points. The pivot axle rotates around a chrome-plated axle with flanged plastic bushings, while the shock, brake, and lefty hub are sourced from GrabCAD.
