left lid 80 and 60mm fan for Ender 3 universal rear electronics case by TT

Updated.. - see below

As others have said everyone can make a remix - kudos to Michael for the great design.

After I printed and assembled the neat twin cases at the back I realized that the air flow would not work in my setup since with no dampers under the printer the fan at the bottom blows directly against the desk under it. And then a small fan needs to run fast to move some air and fast means loud.

I tried some right lid w 80mm fan remixes but couldn't make any of those fit. So I create this variant. I installed a 8010 fan outside, blowing in which I power proxy a buck converter.
For the raspi (which has a temperature sensor available to check) the difference is dramatic - 50+°C w/o and 30+ with the fan running.
I found no info wrt a temperature sensor on the skr mini e3 v1.2 and will try to measure the steppers with thermistors next.

So this is work in progress...

I imported the all_in_one_ender_3case-_left_lid.stl into FreeCad and cut the 5 circles out of the lid since I couldnt find a way to open and edit .stp files propperly on linux.

I did variants of this with 40 and 60 mm fans on the right lid at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3936700 and now, as per user request, added a 60mm version for the left lid as well.
Category: 3D Printer Accessories
