So another cooling duct modification upgrade for the Wanhao Duplicator 6. It really needs more air than stock but there isn't a lot of room to add a blower on the right side if you have an enclosure and radial fans just aren't strong enough. I put a 40x40x20mm blower on the left side. The Gdstime 4cm 40mm 24v DC Brushless Blower Cooling Fan is working great so far. One issue I encountered was that I made a clip (middle top tab) that only works with the Swiss hot end upgrade heat sink, which has different spacing than the stock heat sink fins. I might take it out entirely as it was to prevent sag but the PETG I printed it with is holding up fine. The heater core wires get hot and can deform any cooler that's close in, but this setup is working just fine so far. This is a first draft and I have one prototype running on my system currently. Feel free to comment, offer suggestions, or make a remix of this design. Here are the print settings used for this model: Printer: Wanhao Duplicator 6 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .2 Infill: 20 Notes: This design needs few supports so far from the print bed, mostly for the mount, inset holes, and most everything else prints fine without. The only oddball is the tab; it might as well be snipped off because it doesn't help much. However, if you want to keep it, just put the smallest support under the end. Check out https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2235389 for a more refined version (IMO a superior remix) and one I'm currently using. After printing, minor cleanup of support material is all that's needed.
