Left Handed 6 String Nut for Headless Guitars
thingiverse
Many right handed HEADLESS guitars are uniform in shape and even come equipped with hardware for playing left handed. Nevertheless, you can't simply reverse the strings to make a left handed guitar out of a right handed one. What you need is a left handed nut that can accommodate string sizes going in the opposite direction. I scoured the internet for a left handed nut specifically designed for a headless guitar, but came up empty-handed. I then dove into Tinkercad and quickly whipped this one up in the style of the original right handed model, but with modifications to accommodate left handed stringing. This proved incredibly strong and stable, tunes up perfectly and plays just like the genuine article. The 1st fret of most headless guitars acts as the "tonal nut", so any robust material can be used for the "string attachment nut" without affecting tone in the least. I utilize affordable but high-quality filaments from a variety of brands, so nothing out of the ordinary. Print close or at maximum infill settings. I printed mine at 40mm/s with a temperature setting of 230C/60C. Hope you enjoy it and thanks for your continued support.
