The left fibula of a chimpanzee (Pan troglodytes) was meticulously scanned in 3D using a NextEngine Desktop 3D scanner at the National Museum of Health and Medicine. This pioneering ape, named Ham, was the first to venture into space on January 31, 1961, aboard a Mercury spacecraft. Specimen Identifier AFIP 1871496.
