The 3D model of the calcaneus, or heel bone, was produced using data from a CT scan of a 17-year-old male's left foot. This significant bone, part of the tarsal bones, is critical for walking as it allows foot movement and serves as the foundation of the foot, thus bearing repetitive stress. Inadequate healing after fractures may lead to chronic pain and long-term issues.
