Lee Pro1000 Case Separator Collator Insert
thingiverse
This is an accessory for the Lee case collator that separates 9mm cases from larger ones. Its purpose is to conduct a final check so that a .40 caliber doesn't get stuck and you have to remove the entire mechanism to retrieve it. Since 3D printers can be somewhat temperamental, I've added a "SAMPLE" module (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3380383) to verify the width of the sieve holes and ensure proper function of the accessory. The object utilizes the following parameters: RES = Resolution. This is simply the polygon count, set it higher for smoother curves. I wouldn't exceed 100. CDA = Case Diameter Adjustment. The most critical variable, it sets the width of the sieve holes. Through experimentation with my printer setup, I've found that a 0.5mm CDA is sufficient to allow 9mm cases to pass through while keeping .40 calibers out. Adjust this according to your setup; you may need to input a negative value. STN = Sieve Thickness. This parameter determines how thick you want the object to be. I'm content with 2mm, but you might prefer a sturdier or lighter sieve.
