Lee Classic Turret Square Ratchet
thingiverse
I've encountered numerous versions of this issue. Apparently, it's a problem specific to my printer or possibly the filament itself, but none of them seem to withstand more than a few hundred rounds before falling apart. I print using ABS-R and ABS filaments with identical results. Upon closer inspection, I realized that the outer dimensions were likely the root cause of the issue. They must line up perfectly when installed, neither oversized nor undersized. Some users recommend scaling it up if it's too tight on the bar, so I returned to the drawing board and started from scratch. I ensured the outside square was precisely dimensioned, then adjusted the inner dimensions to snugly fit the riser bar without being overly tight. This redesign works flawlessly with my Lee Classic 4 Hole Turret Press. To achieve optimal results, follow Lee's instructions on their website for replacing the turret press: add a small amount of lubricant to ensure smooth operation and longevity. I print with 100% infill to guarantee durability, using ABS-R from M3D. When I experimented with regular ABS, I used leftover generic brand filament that I had forgotten about. My design was created using TinkerCad.
