a shorter version of the rifled tail wad to hopefully help keep the slug in the birdshot wad far enough to get a good roll crimp (haven't tested yet) for converting bird shot target loads to slugs. should also help keep the slug more nose heavy like the original 7/8 lee slug (in theory).
