I've ordered a Z-probe for my Prusa i3 to automate bed leveling. I had already created a custom LED ring to illuminate the printer. In an attempt to enhance this feature, I picked up an Inductive Proximity Switch from DX.com (http://www.dx.com/p/lj12a3-4-z-bx-inductive-proximity-switch-black-silver-dc-6-36v-100cm-cable-228309#.VYhklnkw_IU) for a relatively low cost. I then designed and 3D printed a mount to integrate the switch into my LED ring setup. At this point, it's still disconnected but awaiting connection and calibration.
