Fittings to make a RGB LED Christmas star using 1/2in PVC The fittings are specifically desiged for - a star with angles of 36-degrees, and 108-degrees. - 50 "Bullet" style RGB LEDs - LED spacing of 2" * - 1/2" (0.840" OD) pipe segments cut to 8" length * Each fitting has a hole for mounting an LED at the vertex of the star. The 36-degree fitting also has a clearance for the 1st LED mounted on the PVC pipe. The 108-degree fitting has clearance holes for screws. I used #8x1/2" wood screws and drilled a 1/8" pilot hole in the PVC. There are no screw holes provided on the 36-degree fitting, because the screw would pierce the LED. Instead i used epoxy to secure the 36-degree fittings. * you can make the spacing wider and the lengths of PVC longer. However shorter LED spacings will run into problems with the clearance hole in the 36-degree fitting.
