I came up with the idea of that LED Wall Light a couple of weeks ago, and after doing first prototypes, I stumbled upon new hue lights that had been available for over a year already. First, I thought - damn, I could have just bought it. However, when I saw the price tag, I was happy again because my setup would cost way less. I eventually used 3 meters of aluminum LED profiles (10€), one set of 4 meter Innr Light Strips (Hue compatible) (55€), six pieces of Self-Design Wall Mounts (~5€), and a bit of hot glue. That gave me a much larger lighting setup for way less money than a single Hue Liane.
