UPDATE (3/11/2021): Added V2 files that improve grip between lid and face, as originals would occasionally fall off. Print settings remain unchanged. Prints fine with a 0.6mm nozzle without losing details. I've come across several versions of this, but I wanted to create a basic, practical, easy-to-maintain, and installable one. It takes about three hours to print each cell - base and lid. Printing without support uses minimal material and allows for good bending and flexibility to accommodate cable management. Additional parts include: * LED strip - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FVGBXFS (self-adhesive) * WiFi LED controller - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SG394ND * 3 PIN connectors - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073WPQLVX * 12v 5A adapter - https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-100-220V-Switching-Security-Accessories/dp/B0711Q5B49 Most LED strips will work fine, but I recommend using a 12v strip to reduce voltage drop across cells and the need for a higher amp DC adapter. The LED controller I used has a great mobile app that allows control over WiFi, features a ton of pre-programmed color functions, and enables customization. ### Assembly 1. Print a base, lid, and clips (optional) for each cell. Clips are used to connect adjacent cells and keep the structure organized with minimal wall mounting. 2. Cut a strip of LEDs that fits inside the perimeter of the base wall. For the ones I used before, a strip of 17.5" lands right on the cut line between pixels and matches the base perfectly. 3. Solder connectors to the start and end of the strips. Keep an eye on the 12+, Data, GND - The strips need to be connected sequentially for correct control. 4. Stick the strip to the inside wall of the base. The strip I used has an adhesive back that made this really easy. Optionally, you can use double-sided tape, mounting tape, glue, etc. 5. Add clips to the sides next to other cells. 6. Mount on the wall and plug in the connectors. Use a small piece of mounting tape (try not to damage your walls) or a single small nail, in combination with the clips. 7. Plug in the power adapter and configure your favorite light show.
