LED to E10 - Adapter
thingiverse
Update: I've fine-tuned and polished the design for better printing quality. This project is designed to adapt a standard 5 mm LED to the Edison 10 socket, commonly used in vintage bicycle lights. I'm using it to upgrade old bicycle rear lights from light bulbs to energy-efficient LEDs. The "Soubitez" model in particular benefits from this adaptation, as seen in the photos, where I've integrated the resistor into the light enclosure. Please note: * Check your local laws regarding the use of this adapter in vehicles, including bicycles. * Use an external resistor and overvoltage protection to safeguard the LED from damage. * It's recommended to use this adapter exclusively in rear lights, with bright red LEDs for optimal visibility. * After printing, you may need to drill out the center hole using a 1mm drill bit due to melted and compressed first layers. To prevent this issue, print with a 2-5 layer raft.
