LED Tape Lighting Bar
myminifactory
I wanted to install some LED lighting under my bookshelf without relying on the sticky backing of the tape for a permanent setup. I also wanted to keep the electrical connections organized, so I built a box with a lid for the connections and a housing for the LED strip that screws into the underside of the shelf. The LEDs fit perfectly into the shallow channel-like housing without needing any adhesive. Each segment is about 200mm long, and you'll need a start piece, an end piece, and several middle pieces to create your desired length of lighting. For instance, I used one start piece, one end piece, and four center pieces to make a 1.2-meter lighting strip. I later printed this using wood filament with a 0.6mm nozzle, and it turned out great. Now it blends in better with the wooden shelf it's attached to.
