LED Support for Stage-Inspired LED Spotlight
thingiverse
This addon is designed specifically for the Stage-Inspired LED Spotlight by Depronized, available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2051738. I created this addon to securely fasten the LED circuitry in place and lock it into position after the entire spotlight has been assembled using glue. Additionally, I wanted to be able to use short M3 screws, so there are designated spots where nuts can be inserted before assembly. It is recommended that a strong adhesive be used to secure them during assembly. You can also check out my LED filter for the Stage-inspired LED Light at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2371483. When applying glue, remove the screw first so it doesn't get glued into place. Step 2: Insert the PCB into the spacer in the orientation that the wires will run along the body of the spacer, following the reference LED's provided in the original Spotlight instructions (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2051738). Step 3: Slide the spacer into the spot_back and line up the screw holes. Using an M3x16, attach the spot_holder to the spot_back on each side. Step 4: Line up the locking collar to the space with the top layer facing the spacer. This should be a tight fit, but the pillars on the spacer will fit into the locking collar. Step 5: Attach the spot_front or spot_front_short to the assembled spot_back piece using your preferred type of glue. I used Gorilla Super Glue, so I had to use clamps until it dried. You should have to squeeze the pieces together with a small amount of pressure. This pressure keeps the locking collar in place and prevents the whole assembly from moving. Updates: Spacer v2 Update: I moved the M3 nut indentations to the outside wall, eliminating the need for glue to hold the nuts in place. The stage light housing now securely holds the nuts in position.
