Purchase an LED strip from Pollin (http://www.pollin.de/shop/dt/MzgzOTc4OTk-/Bauelemente_Bauteile/Aktive_Bauelemente/LEDs/LED_Strip_starr_30x_weiss.html) and print out the holder design. Secure the strip using 2.5mm x 100mm cable ties, then attach the holder to a m8 rod. Note that updated versions of the holder are now available for 4 and 5 part configurations (04/04/2012).
