LED strip light shade
thingiverse
This is a sleek lampshade designed specifically for LED strips. I utilized 5050 white LEDs, but you can use any color, including RGB LEDs. The 12V LED strip in my design consumed approximately 36W, so I divided it into two 18W strips, each powered by a 20W dimmable LED transformer housed vertically inside the inner section. A cable tie provides strain relief, securing the cable in place. Two 3mm machine screws and captive nuts hold everything together securely. The photos above were displayed incorrectly due to Thingiverse's peculiar behavior when presented with portrait images! Print Settings: Printer: Heavily modified Prusa i3 derivative Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1mm Infill: 20% Notes: I used clear PLA for the outer shade, white ABS for the inner shade, clear PLA for the top frame, and white PLA for the transformer brackets and spacer.
