LED Strip Holder with Refractor
thingiverse
Because I realized that in my Delta we need a little bit of light while printing, I have retrieved six LED Strip lights, ten centimeters long and twelve volts, white light obviously, and I thought about a practical way to fix them onto the Delta without compromising its movements and overall dimensions. I created a support that will be (at least in my case) multiplied by six, and attached it to the sides of each tower on the Delta. Because I like lights, I decided to attach two LED strips for each tower, which is why I started with a number that's a bit higher than necessary. Then, I thought about equipping the support with a slide to accommodate a refractor that serves specifically to diffuse the light and make it more "soft" and less bothersome for people who are in front of the printer. Even though there are already various types of supports for LED strips available online, this one stands out (at least in my opinion) because it has the possibility of being equipped with an optical refractor that makes it look more pleasant to the eye and more "professional". To print the StripLED Support, I recommend printing vertically so you can get greater precision on your guides. To print the Refractor, I suggest lying it down on its longer side in such a way that the surface remains smooth outside but gets knurled and pleasant inside. Make sure to use a transparent filament - a neutral color would be best. These supports are versatile and can be installed on various types of printers (like Prusa or Mendelmax) by simply securing them with two M3 screws. My design is specifically tailored for Bosch 20x20mm profiles, but you can easily adapt it to fit your printer's needs. Enrico
