LED Strip Holder
thingiverse
Having seen several designs for LED strips, I really wanted to create one that would better serve my needs. I have a number of different LED tapes, but needed something thin and lightweight to hold two strips of LED lights. This model comes in two pieces to make a 200mm long thing that holds 2 LED strips. It fits exactly on the Prusa i3 MK3. The lights I use are available on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HSF65MC/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 UPDATE 7-2-18: * More photos of the completed thing have been added. * Loctite Ultra Control Gel super glue was used to glue the two parts together. * One tail was added on one thing, and two were added on the other so they could be daisy chained. * Hot glue was used to secure the end with the tail wiring. * Note that the thing is a bit longer than needed, but more room for wiring was made by doing this. * Barrel connectors were added so they could be used together or independently. A short jumper cable was then connected between them. * Note that if you want to match the wiring as shown in the photos, the LED strips need to be rotated 180 degrees from each other. This way, one "inside" wire and one "outside" wire can be had on the non-connector end. * Two of these brackets were used to mount the LED strips: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-led-strip-mounts-prusa-i3-mk2-multi-color-upgrade-version-25846
