LED strip clip
thingiverse
I'm a passionate astronomy enthusiast who loads up my trusty Sprinter van for stargazing excursions to remote star parties and pitch-black sky destinations. My bed platform rises high within the van, offering ample storage space underneath it for essential gear. To navigate this compact area during nighttime activities, I've installed bright white LED strips along with red ones specifically designed for eyes adjusted to darkness - they're an incredible asset. However, when trying to adhere these strip lights onto 1x2s, the wooden support pieces, inside my storage compartment below the bed, some issues arose. As a result, I undertook creating three-dimensional clips as part of my initial project with my printer. These ingenious clips elegantly slide over the sides of the 1x2 supports and provide space for securing both the LED strips snugly. This innovative contraption was brought to life through an untouched Da Vinci 1.0 model - and though I wasn't thoroughly satisfied with how it turned out as a result, this still represents my first-ever printing attempt; so that in itself makes me fairly pleased. Tinkercad served as the versatile digital crafting tool for constructing these nifty little pieces.
