This is a compact 90-degree clamp for mounting LED strips on window and door moldings. It comes equipped with a hole that securely holds a 15mm (1.3mm diameter) nail; simply drive the nail partially through the clamp into a wood surface, and it will retain the nail when you're ready to install the clamp.
