LED Star

LED Star, I designed this star in Solidworks with precision and care, bringing my vision to life. The parts were printed on my reliable 3D printer, crafted from high-quality PETG material that is incredibly strong and a joy to work with. Initially, I encountered some issues with warping, but by applying gluestick directly to the heated bed, I eliminated the problem entirely. To create seamless connections between components, I utilized aluminum LED channels with sleek white covers. At the heart of my creation beats an ESP32-WROOM module, expertly managing the show's intricate sequences. Currently, I have a limited number of sequences programmed in, but I'm actively working on an upgrade that will enable wireless uploads via WiFi, unlocking new possibilities for customization and control. The entire star is comprised of 330 APA102 LED lights, all communicating seamlessly through SPI at a blistering speed of 4 MHz. The refresh rate of the entire display is a remarkable 1 millisecond, ensuring a smooth and captivating visual experience that will leave onlookers in awe.
