My LED spot has a metal mounting bracket, that is 91 mm wide and 15 mm high, so I fitted the pole and this bracket into the space between the light and the metal bracket. This way I have the light as close to the pole as it gets. I also added two cutouts for cables to properly stow the power cable. The elliptical holes allow to hold the bracket with thumb and index finger while screwing everything together and also saves some material.
