LED Spinning Sign
thingiverse
This project offers a straightforward and efficient way to build a spinning LED sign for any special event. The design takes inspiration from bike LEDs, which spin to produce an image. As the creator's second attempt at an LED Sign, this version incorporates several improvements over its predecessor, which has never been shared online. A notable upgrade is the ability to remove the motor assembly and store it alongside the extruded aluminum shaft, allowing for a more compact footprint when storing the sign away. Moreover, a faster motor has been added, enabling the LED strip to spin at speeds up to 500 RPM, equivalent to approximately 25 MPH on a 26" wheel. The total cost of this project is estimated to be around $100, with some flexibility in pricing. Quick Video (Best viewed in person): https://youtu.be/f0PRC1S5N2I
