LED Schiene rail 200mm extendable
thingiverse
There are countless LED strip holders available, I've discovered. I needed something that perfectly fits my printer, kitchen and workspace alike. This system consists of multiple parts designed to hold LED strips cut from a spool to any desired length. The default length without connectors is 200mm. By combining the pieces, you can easily extend the length to any size you want. I've successfully mounted them onto aluminum L-shaped brackets. The pictures show the initial (top) and final versions with two rails attached that I created. The last clamps for holding two rails side by side come with a single screw hole only. You'll need at least two strips, as the affordable LED strip I purchased produces a relatively weak light output. The specifications of the strip I used are 5M White 3528 SMD LED Strip Light Non-Waterproof 12V DC 300 LED. The files included are: - The rails with or without finger-type joint connectors - The clamps, consisting of two types: one is an endpiece holder (with a 3mm hole) for mounting to the surface, and the other clamp type holds the rails midways. Feel free to simplify the setup by either using just the simple clamps or omitting them entirely, opting for screws and large washers instead. However, be mindful of the parts on the strips to avoid any shorts. You're also welcome to glue the rails in place where they should sit, although I personally prefer the detachable mount version over a glued-on one.
