LED Rotor Beacon for Desks

LED Rotor Beacon for Desks

thingiverse

I'm creating a desk version of the b2vn's LED beacon, which I plan to use for visual cues at my workspace. Since my monitors are positioned against the wall, this beacon will allow me to monitor progress from the kitchen without needing to check my computer. Unfortunately, the code is currently buggy and in development, so it's not worth sharing just yet. The design of the beacon doesn't require any glueing between parts - the base fits snugly onto the cover. If needed, you can attach the center to your base for extra stability. I personally glued the LED strip to the center to make assembly easier. At its current orientation, the base should have the layer facing towards the back. The center and glass files are identical to b2vn's original design, simply copied here for convenience. Be sure to check out his code at https://gitlab.com/b2vn/RotorBeacon
