LED Ring Torch
thingiverse
This is a torch designed to house a 16-LED ring made by Adafruit, a Lipo battery, and a small microcontroller. The torch is printed in natural PLA: .2mm, no infill, no base, 3 shells, brim. The rest is printed in black PLA: .2mm, 20% infill. Two lids are available to choose from, one with a complete ring inside and the other with cutouts for wiring the LED ring from below. A dowel attachment piece was designed to attach the whole thing to a 7/8" dowel for a wizard wand type prop. The base pieces are designed to be attached together with M3 Hex socket head cap bolts. The shorter, the better (6mm), but 8mm or 10mm will work fine as well. The flame is designed to screw into the base. This has been fine for regular walking around and hasn't fallen out on its own. Not recommended for swinging it around, however. More information can be found here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Yxb9cXf8a4
