It's powered by an Adafruit Trinket and features NeoPixel LEDs that make it incredibly portable and easy to use - just plug it in or power it up with a battery. We previously created a ring light for DSLR cameras using a 60 NeoPixel ring, but this new version takes it to the next level with RGBW type NeoPixels that produce even better lighting. Unlike traditional RGB type NeoPixels, which can give skin tones an unnatural reddish hue and color temperature, RGBW type NeoPixels provide dedicated white light that's much more accurate and natural-looking. By combining RGB colors together, you get a white light, but unfortunately it just doesn't look great on camera. That's why we're excited about this new version - it's the perfect solution for anyone who needs high-quality lighting for their front-facing camera. Just snap your phone into the 3D printed bumper and you're ready to go - it's that simple!
