To enhance your Prusa Mendel X-Carriage, mount 12 pieces of 5mm LED. For installation, prepare four modules, each containing three LEDs in series with a 120 ohms resistor on the last cathode. Parallelly connect these modules and add a two-wire power connector. As you solder, ensure that the LEDs fit into the mount properly. Afterward, attach the mount to your X-Carriage, wire it to a 12V DC power source, and enjoy the illumination show. Note that the number of modules, LEDs per module, and resistor values are dependent on your power supply and LED specifications; consult http://led.linear1.org/led.wiz for guidance.
