LED Pixel mounting box

LED Pixel mounting box

This is the enclosure I designed for my LED pixel array. It's currently set up to accommodate a single string of Adafruit 12mm LEDs in a five-by-five matrix. Any microcontroller that supports SPI can be used to run the pixels, but I chose to use a Raspberry Pi. The back panel features a hanging element with multiple attachment points to ensure proper balance after assembly. There are provisions for joinery, though perhaps there's room for adjustment. The design employs captive nuts made from M3-0.5 Class 04 Zinc Finish Steel Regular Square Nut and M3-0.5 x 20mm DIN 7985 Phillips Drive Pan Head Zinc Finish Steel Machine Screw. Every aspect of the design is easily customizable by modifying the variables in the joinery() and main() functions.
