LED Nixie Display Lixie

LED Nixie Display Lixie

I built a LED version of Nixie tube display for testing purposes, which is a small setup with only three numbers, but it's sufficient and really cool. I chose to create my own because I know you can buy the whole kit already, but I wanted to try something new. There's definitely room for improvement, but even when scratching acrylic sheet with a sharp pointed nail, it still works and looks nice. You can scratch anything you want there, not just numbers, of course. The design is for 2mm thick acrylic sheet, but the Fusion360 file is included so you can edit it if you want to use different thickness. The best results come from using a laser engraving machine or CNC machine with a small router tip, but I don't have one, so I just used a nail. Maybe this will be helpful for someone else, and if you create something like that, let me know. You can find the video on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONlb7Mgwxeg and another one at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ioqlk34R0TY. The printer used was a Prusa I3 MK3 with 0.2 layer thickness, no support, and PLA material.
