I redesigned nedallive's mount to make it compatible with my HEVO, as his original design wouldn't fit. The interference problem was caused by the y-carriage, which almost touches the top profile of the frame. Mounting it under the top profile isn't an option, and side-mounting still creates a clearance issue. My new mount sits centrally on the extrusion, secured with screws on the sides. I'll be using normal LED strips for illumination. If needed, zipties can provide additional support. Keep in mind that you might have to mirror the y-axis min endstop bracket to center the mount front to back.
