To fix this issue, I redesigned the tray that holds the LED strip to accommodate only half of it, ensuring it still fits snugly in his mounting bracket. Next, I ordered identical LED strips from EBAY, https://www.ebay.com/itm/301032417732, and then cleverly cut the light panel down the middle lengthwise by scoring it about 10 times with a razor before snapping it in two. Miraculously, the LEDs continued to function flawlessly, resulting in a panel that's half its original size. To assemble the LED mount, I utilized an M3 35mm screw and nut for the hinge, as well as two M3 12mm screws and nuts to bolt it securely to the printer.
