A custom LED mount designed for the MK8 extruder attaches securely. The LEDs, sourced from an auto parts store, are a QuadFire Haloz ring by Alpena. Its square shape aligns perfectly with the MK8's design. This solution is tailored for Milled/Printed 3D Printer (MP3DP) PrusaI3 style printers. Find the MP3DP on Thingiverse here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1524754 When installed, the ring obstructs the cooling fan shroud. A small extender is added to reposition the fan shroud for optimal airflow inside the LED ring. The 123D file is included for users who wish to make modifications.
