LED matrix with WiFi and web server
thingiverse
This compact housing features an 8x8 LED dot matrix module paired with an ESP8266.\r\nCredit for the innovative wiring and coding goes to "bastelgarage.ch" - check out the link below.\r\n\r\nTo create a more streamlined design, I removed the pin headers from both modules and soldered connections directly, eliminating excess bulk.\r\nThe USB cable exits through a small hole in the box, where it is connected directly to gnd and Vin via soldering, bypassing the ESP8266 entirely.\r\nThe LED matrix itself fits snugly into an opening on the front; everything remains secure with hot glue inside. The cover slides seamlessly into a recess at the back of the box, held firmly in place by a few drops of super glue.\r\n\r\nThe ESP initializes a web server, allowing you to connect and type in the text that will display on the matrix.\r\n\r\nThis project requires a simple print with no support needed.\r\n\r\nTo find this display module on r.g. eBay, try using these key search terms: "Led Dot Matrix Display Module 8x8 MAX7219"\r\n\r\nFor wiring and coding reference, check out this link:\r\nhttps://www.bastelgarage.ch/index.php?route=extension/d_blog_module/post&post_id=6
