LED Matrix Rig
thingiverse
This is a rapidly created design to assist in constructing an 8 x 40 LED matrix, which will fit inside a Thomas Bangalter helmet from Daft Punk. The picture displayed is quite old; since then, the helmet has been covered with fiberglass resin externally and two coats of rondo internally. However, let's return to the parts details – the holes measure approximately 0.16 inches in diameter. To work correctly, these parts needed to be scaled up by 106% in Slicer due to human error. The bending rig has tiny posts to guarantee the plate aligns straight against pins for a better bend. It's recommended to mark a 45-degree line on both the base and plate for accurate bending. Note that the finished matrix will measure around 2.7" x 12.5", designed specifically for this helmet, so its suitability for other helmets is uncertain. Please double-check your measurements if you plan to use this design!
