Led Lithophane Frame

Led Lithophane Frame

thingiverse

This is a small led lithophane fixture I designed for my father's birthday. The bottom part of the fixture houses the LED converter and features two holes to connect an infrared receiver and power plug adapter. Depending on the specific LED strip you choose, you may need to adjust the holes accordingly. The bottom frame must be printed with supports throughout its entire lower side. As shown in the pictures, this is a crucial step for optimal results. The top frame is empty, allowing you to combine four different lithophanes into a single solid mesh using the website listed below. You can merge the STL files with MeshMixer and create one solid piece of STL that requires 100% infill when printed. *Update 1: A new top frame has been added to close off the top of the fixture, and I will post an image once it's complete.* *Update 2: The base of the fixture has been updated with improved tolerance for connecting the frame, and a new top plate has also been added.* To create your lithophane, visit this website: http://3dp.rocks/lithophane/ The LED strip I used is similar to this model: https://www.amazon.com/Strip-Streifen-Leiste-Netzteil-Fernbedienung/dp/B00H9DY5EI/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1504778057&sr=8-3&keywords=led+strip
