LED lighting for Ender 5
thingiverse
This is a simple lighting setup I designed for the Ender 5 (Pro). Printed parts: 2x Strip holders (these clip into the V-slot on your printer's frame and the aluminium extrusions fit into them snugly) 1x Control Box 1x Control Box Lid Aside from the 3D printed parts you'll need: - 3x Toggle switch with a body footprint measuring 5x8 mm (see attached image) - 3x 29-30 cm long pieces of 7x13 mm aluminium extrusion for your LED strips. - 3x leghts of LED strip of your choice to fit the three aluminium extrusions - 1x 12V power supply - Wiring as required To hook everything up, I got mains power from the input of the Ender's 24V power supply, and daisy chained to the small 12V supply which I installed in the base of the printer. This way it gets power only when the printer is switched on. I commoned all the negative terminals on the 3 LED strips to the 12V supply's negative, and the ran the positive from the 12V supply through the toggle switches, one for each LED strip. The control box mounts to the corner bracket on the top right front of the printer, you have to remove the screw, put it through the hole on the control box, and tighten it again. Hope this will be useful to you!
