LED lighting and webcam mount for Prusa i3 MK3
thingiverse
I designed an LED strip + webcam mount to attach to the top of my Prusa MK3 frame. The frame attachment relies on two filament guides: the original on the left and a mirrored version (STL file included) on the right. I printed the guides in Prusa Orange PETG and the frame itself in Black PETG. I attached the camplate, also printed in Prusa Orange PETG, to the black frame. I use a Logitech C615 webcam, which I attach to the camplate using a camera screw (available on Thingiverse). I found the "screw.stl" file from another user's design but forgot to give proper credit. If you're the author, please let me know so I can update this with your name. I secured the LED strips to the frame using zip ties, which fit perfectly through the existing holes. This means you can use different LED strips if needed. To attach the filament guides to the back of the frame, I used superglue. One flaw with my design is that the webcam shakes when the extruder moves quickly on the X and Y axes. If you want a steadier mount, check out this alternative design. Alternatively, you can use the 'printer top fixture v6.stl' (rotated 45 degrees) and 'guides v5.stl' for just the LED lighting without the webcam mount. These versions snap together easily and don't require superglue.
