<p>Simple and general purpose LED "light stick" that slides onto Ryobi One+ batteries.</p><figure class="media"><oembed url="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6A_cqvVJIw"></oembed></figure><p>Socket:</p><ul><li>PLA</li><li>0.4mm nozzle dia.</li><li>0.2mm layer height</li><li>20% infill</li></ul><p>Shell:</p><ul><li>PLA</li><li>0.4mm nozzle dia.</li><li>0.2mm layer height</li><li><strong>vase mode</strong> with 1mm base</li></ul><p>Parts:</p><ul><li><a href="https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000953728880.html">Battery Spring Clips</a> (0.3mm Spring Steel 18650 A AA CR2 9V Leaf Spring Battery Contact)</li><li><a href="https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32750873861.html">DC-DC Step Down / Buck Converter</a> (LM2596S ADJ Power supply module DC-DC Step-down module)</li><li><a href="https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003091669265.html">2835 type 12V LEDs Light Strip (60 LED/m)</a></li><li>Some wire and solder to connect everything together</li><li>Some clear packing tape to wrap the finished product in</li><li>voltage meter / multi-meter for adjusting Vout of DC-DC step down module</li></ul><p>Steps:</p><ol><li>Solder ~50mm lengths of wire to the spring clips</li><li>Push spring clips into socket while making sure the colour of the wires match polarity of Ryobi battery (+ = red & - = black)</li><li>Solder spring clip wires to inputs of DC-DC converter</li><li>Test-fit socket to Ryobi battery and at this point use a multi-meter on DC-DC converter outputs to adjust Vout of DC-DC converter to 12V for LEDs</li><li>Solder ~150mm of wire to LED strip and thread wire through provided hole in shell.</li><li>Wrap as much LED strip around shell as possible & cut off excess</li><li>Solder wires coming out of shell to outputs of DC-DC converter</li><li>Test-connect to Ryobi battery to ensure working</li><li>Push-fit the shell onto the socket while not getting the wires too tangled inside</li><li>Test-connect to make sure still working</li><li>wrap in clear packing tape for finishing touch</li></ol>
