Motivation: Time and again, I find myself in desperate need of just enough light to carry me through, but cell phones just aren't reliable enough for the task at hand. My goal, a burning ambition really, is to build a compact yet potent flashlight ring that meets my every demand.\nDetails:\nI've already tested two distinct switch mechanisms, with decidedly mixed results so far. The first iteration boasted a sliding head, positioned laterally and perpendicular to my finger - yet it fell woefully short in terms of comfort. Undeterred, I moved on to this new model, which features a forward and backward sliding motion. Unfortunately, even this variation proves unsatisfactory, as it necessitates the use of both hands just to turn it on or off. Moreover, the top assembly is perilously prone to detaching from its base - so my attention is now fixed squarely on the next prototype.\nHardware:\nMy current iteration has already undergone production on an up! printer, a versatile tool that brings precision engineering to my fingertips.\nRoadmap:\nThe ultimate vision here is for this product to be freely accessible as Open Hardware, available to anyone who wishes to join me on this innovation journey.
