LED Light Ring

LED Light Ring

The goal is to create a compact, powerful flashlight ring. To achieve this, a ring base and head are printed using an Up! 3D printer or equivalent. The hardware required includes two coin cell batteries, a slide switch, a triangular proto board, three bright LEDs, and extra lengths of wire. Assembly involves wiring the components on the protoboard, installing the coin cells, and finally snapping the completed unit together. Open Hardware under TAPR OHL v1.0 is intended for this product, and the design files were created using Openscadpy. However, a comfortable switch mechanism is yet to be determined, with current models requiring both hands to operate and prone to falling apart. The ring size can be adjusted in the Openscadpy file, but several attempts may be necessary to find the perfect fit.
